Bernard is a dentist and lecturer in Oral Biology at Institut Kesehatan Helvetia, Medan, Indonesia. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Dental Sciences and completed the professional dental education program at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU).

His research interests include oral biology, oral and dental health, tissue and bone healing, herbal and natural products in dentistry, and dental instrument disinfection.
